Public Health Advocacy
Our Mission
CURIS (“cares” in Latin) is a student organization affiliated with the School of Public Health dedicated to understanding and advocating for public health in Southeastern Michigan. We focus our efforts locally through partnering with governments and organizations to combat public health issues impacting the community.

What we do:

-
Consult with local organizations to improve public health efforts through event planning, fundraising, volunteering, and research.
-
Raise awareness of various public health issues relevant to the local area
-
Continuously advance our understanding of public health issues through discussion during meetings
Our Values
Humility
We understand and agree that we do not know everything and strive to be open-minded and learn from different people, experiences, and perspectives.
Compassion
We are dedicated to helping the local community and educating ourselves while striving for a compassionate understanding of individuals' unique experiences and circumstances.
Drive
We will not be complacent with our achievements, rather strive to continue to build on our successes to enhance our skills and creativity toward improving public health.
